Ending the HIV Epidemic
Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) is a national initiative unveiled in 2019 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, with the goal of supporting several areas across the U.S. highly impacted by HIV. The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade partnered with the Health Council of South Florida in order to assess the current state of HIV in our community and complete a situational analysis, developing a plan which aligns with national EHE standards and goals. The Health Council conducted data analyses and community engagement to complete a comprehensive analysis and outline key strategies and activities that will help decrease local new HIV rates in the years to come.

The Health Council also created a website for the local EHE Miami initiative, in order to inform and engage the community on EHE and the work that is currently being done by local organizations. For more information on the Ending the HIV Epidemic website, please click here.
