“Cancer and COVID-19: Implications for a Vulnerable Population” FREE Webinar

The Southeast Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (SFCCC) and the Health Council of South Florida (HCSF) invite you to participate in the “Cancer and COVID-19: Implications for a Vulnerable Population” webinar being held on Monday, May 18, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Participants will discuss alarming health disparity trends and the reasons why the COVID-19 pandemic is striking members of minority groups at dramatically disproportional rates. Attendees will also identify health conditions, such as cancer, diabetes and hypertension, as contributors to the larger impact of COVID-19 cases and deaths in minority communities.
The training program focus areas are:
Updates on cancer disparities within minority communities
Educational resources on cancer disparities
Identifying intervention strategies that increase cancer screening
Identifying reasons to increase Cultural Competency
Identifying obstacles to addressing health inequities
